On Friday 3rd November, we had the enormous pleasure of welcoming volunteers from ConocoPhillips’ Well Operations, Abandonment and Intervention, and Integrity teams to Rape Crisis Grampian to give seven rooms in our building a whole new face lift!
The teams wanted to carry out community volunteering activities and after hearing about RCG via ACVO, Aberdeen’s 3rd Sector Interface, we were approached and they offered to do some painting for us to freshen things up. After calling for donations of paint, dust sheets, and rollers, we had a fantastic day last week as 20 people painted seven rooms in our Crown Street premises.
In addition to the painting, £161.45 was donated from a cake sale that they held in aid of RCG, along with donations of additional materials required for the painting. The company also subsequently donated £500 to RCG to support us over the festive period.
We want to say a MASSIVE thank you to ConocoPhillips and their Well Operations, Abandonment and Intervention, and Integrity personnel for coming along and giving these rooms at 112 Crown Street a much needed freshen up. It is so important to us that we can make all aspects of our service as warm and welcoming as possible and they have certainly helped us to do so.
